The content of B vitamins makes our nervous system work more properly, thanks to which plums can make our well-being improve. Fruit for a better mood seems to be the best solution.

Plums are a source of sorbitol, i.e. non-digestible sugar alcohol. It is contained in the peel of the fruit. It creates an environment in the intestines that increases the production of beneficial bacteria that improve the functioning of the intestines. In addition, this ingredient in a way attracts water, and this moisturizes the intestines. In this way, excretion is accelerated, which helps in the fight against constipation.

In turn, the flesh contains the aforementioned pectins, i.e. a kind of liquid fiber. It combines with water and makes the structure of the fecal mass normal. In addition, it helps in getting rid of all ingredients that are retained in the intestines. It is compared to something like a broom, which helps to get rid of anything that causes constipation.

While raw fruit helps, it's important to know that prunes are best for constipation. They contain almost 10 grams of fiber in 100 grams of the product. Additionally, prunes contain more vitamin A and the aforementioned sorbitol. However, remember that this form of plums should not be overdone - although they are healthy, they are also extremely caloric.
